How to Use
Follow these steps for proper administration:
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling the eye drops.
- Gently tilt your head backward or lie down.
- With your index finger, pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
- Hold the dropper bottle upside down directly over your eye, ensuring the tip does not touch your eye or any other surface to prevent contamination.
- Instill one drop into the pocket created by the lower eyelid.
- Close your eye gently for 1-2 minutes.
- Apply gentle pressure to the tear duct (the corner of your eye closest to your nose) for about one minute to prevent the medication from draining into the nasal passage and to maximize ocular absorption.
- Blot any excess liquid from around your eye with a clean tissue.
- If you are using other eye drops, wait at least 5-10 minutes before applying the next medication.
