How to Use
- Always take RELEXIB 200 MG CAPSULES exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- The usual dose for osteoarthritis is 200 mg once daily or 100 mg twice daily.
- For rheumatoid arthritis, the dose may range from 100 mg to 200 mg twice daily.
- For acute pain and primary dysmenorrhea, the starting dose is typically 400 mg, followed by an additional 200 mg if needed on the first day. Subsequent doses are usually 200 mg twice daily.
- Capsules can be taken with or without food. Taking them with food may help reduce the risk of stomach upset.
- Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew.
Caution & Warnings
- Cardiovascular Risk: NSAIDs, including Celecoxib, may increase the risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events, myocardial infarction, and stroke, which can be fatal. This risk may increase with duration of use. Patients with known cardiovascular disease or risk factors for cardiovascular disease may be at greater risk.
- Gastrointestinal Risk: NSAIDs, including Celecoxib, increase the risk of serious gastrointestinal adverse events including bleeding, ulceration, and perforation of the stomach or intestines, which can be fatal. These events can occur at any time during use and without warning symptoms. Elderly patients are at greater risk for serious gastrointestinal events.
- Do not use if you are allergic to Celecoxib, sulfonamides, or any other ingredients.
- Consult your doctor if you have a history of asthma, kidney or liver problems, heart conditions, or stomach ulcers.
- Avoid use during the third trimester of pregnancy as it may harm the fetus.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
