2. Administration Route: Administered as a continuous intravenous (IV) infusion, preferably via a central venous catheter to minimize the risk of extravasation and tissue necrosis.
3. Dosage: The dosage is highly individualized, titrated to achieve the desired hemodynamic response and maintain systolic blood pressure within a target range, usually between 90-100 mmHg, or as clinically indicated. Initial infusion rates often start at 0.05 to 0.1 micrograms/kg/minute, adjusted based on the patient's response.
