How to Use

Caution & Warnings

• INVEGA is a prescription-only medication. Use strictly under medical supervision.
• May cause dizziness, drowsiness, or lightheadedness, especially when starting treatment or increasing dose. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
• Elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis treated with antipsychotic drugs are at an increased risk of death. INVEGA is not approved for this condition.
• Monitor for symptoms of Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS), a potentially fatal condition, including high fever, muscle rigidity, altered mental status, and irregular pulse or blood pressure.
• Be aware of the risk of Tardive Dyskinesia (TD), a syndrome of potentially irreversible, involuntary dyskinetic movements, which may develop with chronic treatment.
• May cause metabolic changes, including high blood sugar (diabetes), increases in cholesterol and triglycerides, and weight gain. Regular monitoring by your doctor is important.
• Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs, herbal supplements, and vitamins, to avoid potential drug interactions.
• Do not consume alcohol while on this medication, as it may increase central nervous system depression.
