Dextrose 5% IV Solution 100ml
Dextrose 5% Intravenous (IV) Solution 100ml is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution of Dextrose Monohydrate in Water for Injection.
It is commonly used as a source of calories and hydration in patients unable to take fluids orally, or when supplemental glucose is required.
This solution helps to restore blood glucose levels, maintain fluid balance, and can serve as a vehicle for the administration of various medications.

Caution & Warnings:
- For intravenous use only. Not for intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.
- Administer with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, as it may affect blood glucose levels.
- Monitor fluid balance, electrolyte concentrations, and acid-base balance during prolonged parenteral therapy.
- Excessive administration may result in fluid overload, leading to edema or pulmonary congestion.
- Do not administer simultaneously with blood products through the same administration set due to the risk of pseudoagglutination or hemolysis.
- Use with caution in patients with severe renal or cardiac insufficiency.
- Discard any unused portion.
