How to Use

1. **Patient Preparation:** Ensure the patient is properly positioned and the surgical site is prepped and draped according to standard sterile procedures.
2. **Incision:** Make a small, superficial skin incision, typically at the umbilical area, sufficient for needle insertion.
3. **Abdominal Wall Elevation:** Grasp and elevate the abdominal wall firmly to increase the distance between the peritoneum and underlying organs.
4. **Needle Insertion:** Insert the Molnlycke Veress Needle at an appropriate angle (usually 45-60 degrees) through the incision, aiming towards the pelvic cavity.
5. **Confirmation of Placement:** Listen for two distinct 'pops' indicating passage through the fascia and peritoneum. Verify correct placement using methods like the saline drop test or aspiration.
6. **Insufflation:** Connect the Veress needle to a CO2 insufflator to gradually inflate the abdominal cavity, establishing pneumoperitoneum.
7. **Removal:** Once adequate pneumoperitoneum is achieved, disconnect the insufflator and carefully remove the Veress needle.
