10. Remove the introducer needle while maintaining secure control of the guidewire.
11. Make a small skin incision at the guidewire entry point to facilitate dilator and catheter passage.
12. Pass the tissue dilator over the guidewire to create a pathway for the catheter, then remove the dilator.
13. Advance the triple lumen CVC over the guidewire into the vein until the distal tip is positioned correctly (e.g., cavoatrial junction).
14. Remove the guidewire from the catheter.
15. Aspirate blood from each lumen to confirm venous placement and then flush each lumen with sterile saline.
16. Secure the catheter to the skin using sutures or an appropriate securement device.
17. Apply a sterile, transparent dressing over the insertion site.
18. Obtain a chest X-ray or other imaging as per protocol to confirm catheter tip position and rule out pneumothorax or other immediate complications.
