How to Use

3. Administer local anesthetic to the insertion site, if indicated.
4. Locate the target vein, ideally using ultrasound guidance, and puncture with the introducer needle.
5. Advance the guidewire through the introducer needle into the vein.
6. Remove the introducer needle, leaving the guidewire in place.
7. Make a small skin incision at the guidewire entry site and dilate the tract using the tissue dilator over the guidewire.
8. Carefully thread the triple lumen central venous catheter over the guidewire until the desired depth is reached.
9. Remove the guidewire and flush each lumen of the catheter with saline to confirm patency.
10. Verify catheter tip placement radiographically (e.g., chest X-ray for superior vena cava placement).
11. Secure the catheter to the skin using the provided securement device or sutures, and apply a sterile dressing.
