DEXTROSE 50% IV 500 ML BOTTLE PSI is a sterile, hypertonic solution of dextrose (glucose) in water for injection.
It is primarily used to provide a rapid source of readily available energy and to restore blood glucose levels in patients experiencing acute hypoglycemia.
This solution is also indicated for fluid replacement and caloric supplementation in patients who are unable to tolerate oral intake.

How to Use

Caution & Warnings

- Monitor blood glucose levels, fluid balance, and electrolytes frequently during therapy.
- Rapid administration of hypertonic dextrose solutions may result in significant hyperglycemia and possible hyperosmolar syndrome.
- Not for direct intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intraperitoneal injection.
- Discontinue infusion immediately if any adverse reactions occur.
